As the second semester of the year approaches, many students intensify their preparation for the National High School Exam (Enem), one of the main gateways to higher education in the country. In this context, knowing the rules set out in the notice is as important as mastering the content covered in the test. Paying attention to the rules can avoid unforeseen events and ensure safer participation in the exam.

According to Heider de Paula Rodrigues da Silva, coordinator of the Law course at Faculdade Anhanguera, many candidates arrive at the test day without paying attention to the formal requirements of the application. “The Enem is governed by an official notice published by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira, INEP, and these rules are normative in nature. Knowing them is essential so that the candidate knows how to act in specific situations”, he explains.

According to the teacher, the lack of information may compromise participation in the exam. “Issues such as requesting specialized assistance, documentary requirements and strict adherence to schedules require early attention”, he reinforces.

For him, the best way to avoid problems is to prepare in advance. “Reading the notice carefully, organizing the documentation and knowing all the application rules are attitudes that bring security to the candidate and allow him to focus his energy on performing the test”, he indicates.

Below, check out some important rights and procedures set out in the exam notice!

1. Specialized service

Candidates with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or specific health conditions may request resources such as additional time, individual room, reader, transcriber or adapted tests, as provided in the notice. To do this, the request must be made during the official registration period, sending the required documentation. It is essential to subsequently monitor the result of the analysis in the participant’s official system.

2. Nursing care

Breastfeeding candidates may request specific conditions to take the test, according to the established rules by the current notice. To do this, the request must be formalized at the time of registration, with the necessary documentation. In addition, the presence of an adult companion responsible for the child at the test site is normally required.

3. Access to the question book

The notice provides specific conditions for accessing and removing the question booklet. Consult the official application rules in advance and observe the times and criteria defined by the exam organization are essential. Failure to comply with the rules may prevent access to the material.

4. Cases of feeling unwell during the test

Candidates who are physically unwell may receive assistance on site, as assessed by the application coordination. To do this, simply notify the supervisor or room coordinator immediately. Each occurrence is analyzed according to the specific conditions of the moment.

5. Monitoring official communications

The candidate must follow all official publications relating to the exam, including corrections, guidelines and possible updates. To do this, it is necessary to exclusively access the official INEP channels and the participant portal. Attention: information released by unofficial sources may cause confusion.

6. Irregular situations

In cases where an irregularity is reported, the candidate must follow the official channels of communication and the procedures provided for in the notice for administrative manifestation, when applicable. To do this, it is worth carefully monitoring official communications and observing established deadlines. Additionally, gathering documentation and records related to the case can be important.
