With the proximity of the date of the exam, see how to organize studies effectively
The National High School Exam (Enem) 2025, scheduled for November 9th and 16th, is considered one of the main gates of access to higher education in Brazil. The moment marks a decisive turn in the preparation of millions of candidates, who now enter the final stretch of studies, revisions and simulated.
According to the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), this year alone, more than 5.5 million students were signed up for the exam, number 30% above the one observed in the previous year and representing the highest growth in the total participants in the history of the test after 2009 – a year in which he had the current format, with 180 questions.
At this decisive moment of preparation for ENEM, educators and experts list the main guidelines and reinforce the importance of maintaining focus, adjusting planning and taking care of mental health to achieve the desired performance. Check it out!
1. Direct an important time to prepare the contents that have the most difficulty
For the Pedagogical Consultant of Rede Pitágoras, Cristina de Souza Silva, an important point in this final stretch is precisely the organization of study time. To facilitate the organization of routine, the expert suggests the creation of a list of the most recurring themes in Enem for each knowledge area. Based on it, the student can produce a schedule that prioritizes and allocates longer for the disciplines that represent a higher level of difficulty. “Students who can exhaust this list through studies and revisions will have an advantage when taking the test,” he says.
And when it comes to the difficulty level, math test is often considered one of the most complicated for the entrance exams. According to PH teaching system math author Sérgio Ghiu, to achieve a good score in this discipline, the ideal is for the student to direct their efforts to the most recurring content, based on the analysis of the tests applied in previous years, as well as a rule of three, percentage and functions.
2. Do not let the topics easier aside
Enem’s grade is calculated through a methodology called Item Response Theory (TRI), which evaluates the level of students’ knowledge and attributes specific points for each question. Thus, it is worth remembering that the candidate also needs to guarantee the mastery over the easier topics that always appear in the tests of each area of knowledge.
“The next few days are ideal for the student to pay attention to one area of knowledge at a time and identify the style and theme of the issues, ensuring that it hits and feels comfortable with the various themes charged in the test,” says André Freitas, director of Fibonacci Teaching System.
3. Train for Enem through simulations
Jonas Moraes Sousa, a pedagogical advisor to the platform, explains that testing the level of knowledge through ENEM MODEL SIMULATES It is an essential part of preparation. “More than ‘essays’, they contribute to the candidate’s self -knowledge and familiarization with the questions. Another advantage of this practice is to improve time management during the test,” he says.
Added to this, André Barros, a pedagogical head of the Bilingual and High Performance Schools Network of Somos Educação, Start Anglo Bilingual School, stresses that regular training through timed time simulations helps to develop resistance to the time of race, which lasts five and a half hours. “When these strategies are applied continuously and intentionally, the results tend to be much more positive,” he says.
4. Review literary references and practice writing
Enem’s writing proof charges a dissertative-argumentative text, consisting of introduction, development and conclusion. Therefore, the pedagogical assistant of the Note 1000 Writing Platform, Heloisa Guimarães Pereira, states that it is essential that the student practices the writing and the inclusion of references in their productions.
“Reading and discussing group literary works can also enrich understanding and prepare the candidate better. It is important that the work chosen as a reference has elements that dialogue with the proposal of the newsroom. It is not enough to just decorate generic citations,” he warns.
The student should also consider the popularity of the work and the depth of its discussions. According to Maria Carolina Araújo, director of the Anglo Alante education network, it is essential to train the text interpretation and the creation of engaging narratives, as the writing represents 20% of Enem’s total grade and may have an even greater weight in some universities. Therefore, writing practice must be a daily activity for the entrance exams.
5. Consider online platforms as study tools
According to Talita Fagundes, the pedagogical manager of the PAR platform, reading textbooks available in not only physical, but digital format can help the student better organize studies and gain autonomy in reviewing the contents. The expert points out that, in this sense, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) can boost learning, identifying points of improvement and suggesting personalized content, which contributes to the student’s continuous development.
6. Also prepare for foreign language issues
Enem has foreign language issues – English or Spanish, depending on the candidate’s choice – on the first day of the test application. These questions usually involve text interpretation, vocabulary in context, the identification of main ideas and translations or meanings.
“Whoever chooses the test in English, should practice the Reading texts in foreign language And do specific exercises that simulate these issues, besides commenting on the texts with colleagues or teachers for greater understanding ”, signals João Paulo de Oliveira Silva, pedagogical advisor of the Bilingual Education Program of Somos Educação, Edural.
7. Control Anxiety at this decisive moment
Mental preparation is as important as theoretical knowledge in Enem and the entrance exams, according to Heleomar Gonçalves, the leader’s pedagogical advisor – educational program that works a set of socio -emotional skills that impact behaviors, attitudes, ways of thinking and feeling.
According to him, the act of knowing himself and understanding his own limits is equivalent to the personal constitution, being a relevant basis for making important decisions in everyday life. “When the student acquires this self -control and the understanding of his limitations, he sets a solid starting point to set goals, manage time more effectively and direct energy to the expected result,” he concludes.
