Saint Therese, known as Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, was a young French Carmelite from the 19th century who became one of the most popular saints in the Catholic Church for her simple spirituality, based on trust, love and surrender to God, a path she called the “little way”.

The Novena of the Roses is a devotion associated with the saint, carried out during nine consecutive days of prayer, in which the faithful ask for her intercession to achieve a special grace. Popular tradition says that, at the end of the novena, the person can receive a rose — symbolically or concretely — as a sign that the request has been heard.
