The last week of May brings great news to the streaming platform’s catalog

The last week of May promises unmissable news for Netflix subscribers. Among the highlights are the sports productions, starting with “Brasil 70: A Saga do Tri”, which reproduces the moves that consolidated the Brazilian team in the history of football. There is also “Rafa”, a documentary series about the trajectory of legendary Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal.

For fans of fictional series, the highlight is “Interview with the Vampire”, inspired by the collection “The Vampire Chronicles”, by Anne Rice. Among the films, the streaming next week is “Operações Especiais”, a national production starring Cleo Pires.

Directed by Tomás Portella, “Operações Especiais” tells the story of young carioca Francis (Cleo Pires), a receptionist with a degree in tourism who decides to take the exam to join the civil police after a robbery at the hotel where she worked. Once approved, she begins to attend the police training course and is called to join a special team, made up of honest police officers, who need combat the growth of crime in a city in the interior of Rio de Janeiro.

The mission is completed successfully, but what seemed like a “honeymoon” turns into a nightmare when the rigor of the law starts to bother everyone. According to the official synopsis, “the situation becomes unsustainable and the government is forced to intervene again. But not everything will go back to the way it was before.”

Set in 2022, “Interview with the Vampire” follows the journey of Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), a centuries-old vampire who decides to tell his life story to a reporter. The series revisits New Orleans at the beginning of the 20th century, exploring the moment when Louis meets the seductive Lestat (Sam Reid), who transforms him into a creature of the night.

Together, they dominate the city’s nightlife, but to try to maintain sanity between eternal life and brutality, they adopt the child vampire Claudia (Bailey Bass), with whom they form a problematic family. The episodes oscillate between the present, marked by direct conflicts between the vampire and the reporter, and Louis’ past, revealing dangerous truths.

3. Brasil 70: The Saga of Tri (29/05)

With four episodes, the documentary series “Rafa” offers an intimate look at the history of tennis player Rafael Nadal, champion of 22 Grand Slam titles, considered one of the biggest names in tennis. sport history.
