August promises a schedule full of news for Prime Video subscribers. For the month, the platform is betting on productions focused on genres such as drama, action and religion, bringing together titles such as “Sterling Point”, an exciting series about coming of age, and “Corrida dos Bichos”, inspired by the illegal Brazilian animal lottery universe.

O streaming also features “The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls”, a crossover between religious work and British adventurer, in addition to the fourth season of “Reacher”, one of Prime Video’s biggest hits.

1. Sterling Point (05/08)

Created by Megan Park, also director and producer of the series, “Sterling Point” tells the story by Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin), a 17-year-old girl raised in New York alongside her twin brother, Connor (Keen Ruffalo), and adoptive father (Jay Duplass). Accustomed to chaos and the fast pace of Big Applethey see their lives transform when they discover that they are heirs to a mysterious island in Canada, left by the grandfather they never knew.

Still stunned by the news, the family decides to move to the place. However, the change is marked by romances and family dilemmas, which encourage them to mature. The series has eight episodes and also features names such as Jacob Whiteduck Lavoie, Amélie Elisabeth Hoeferle, Nikko Angelo Hinayo and Bo Bragason.

2. Animal Race (07/08)

The hit “The Chosen” is back, but with a different theme and a new member: the adventurer and author of religious books, Bear Grylls. In the series, Roumie, Paras Patel (Matheus), Elizabeth Tabish (Mary Magdalene), Noah James (André), Luke Dimyan (Judas) and the creator and executive producer of the work, Dallas Jenkins, venture into the desert under the command of Grylls. The goal, according to the official synopsis, is to “explore what makes guests tick” and encourage in-depth conversations about faith and spirituality outside the comfort zone.

4. Reacher – 4th season (12/08)

Based on the 13th book in Lee Child’s franchise, “Tomorrow Will Be Another Day”, the “Reacher” series returns for its fourth season. In the new episodes, protagonist Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson), a former military police investigator, sees his life change when he witnesses a suicide on the New York subway.

The situation becomes even more surprising when he discovers that the woman in the tragedy worked at the Pentagon and was involved in schemes with politicians and dangerous groups. From then on, according to the official synopsis, Reacher becomes part of a complex and deadly game. To survive, he needs to find out what motivated the suicide and find the woman’s missing son.
